Jolene Goodheart Peterson is an Education Consultant for Smoky Hill Education Service Center and a Teacher Leader Consultant for the Kansas State Department of Education. She has dedicated her career to advancing mathematics education, serving as both a classroom teacher and instructional specialist. Jolene focuses on effective teaching practices, fostering a mathematical mindset, and improving grading and reporting systems to support student learning. She is the co-author of The Well-Rounded Math Student, a resource designed to help educators build confident, capable learners in mathematics classrooms.

Beyond mathematics, Jolene is passionate about developing student character, service, and leadership. She is actively involved with the Kansas Association of Teachers of Mathematics (KATM), the Kansas Association for Youth (KAY), and the KAY Alumni Network (KAYAN), where she continues to support youth empowerment and educational excellence across the state.
