Brandon Hutton is an experienced technology leader with over 14 years of experience in driving innovation in STEM education, workforce development, and research. Currently, he holds the position of Director of Advanced Technology at the Kansas Department of Commerce, where he uses his expertise to expand access to emerging technologies across the state.

Brandon’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Kansas State University and a master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Fort Hays State University. These qualifications have provided him with a strong foundation for understanding people and systems, as well as blending his interests in education, technology, and human-computer interaction.

In his personal time, Brandon is an avid computer builder and game enthusiast. He keeps up to date with the latest advancements in computer hardware, software, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge inventions. He combines his technical understanding with his background in sociology and education to make technology more accessible and create equitable opportunities for his community.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Brandon enjoys tabletop gaming, spending time outdoors, and creating lasting memories with his family. He resides in Topeka with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.
