Ben is the Senior VP of Research and Development at CivicPlus®, a leading provider of software solutions for local governments. With 15+ years of experience in tech within the state of Kansas, Ben is a seasoned innovator. He’s managed award-winning products and holds numerous patents for his innovative processes.

Ben identifies opportunities for CivicPlus’ unified applications to meet evolving needs, keeping the company at the forefront of the digital transformation revolution. He’s the Chair of the Executive Board for FlagshipKansas.Tech, and also serves on the Computer Science Advisory Board at Kansas State University. Ben testified on behalf of HB2466 in Kansas, helping to get it passed and supply crucial funding for computing education in the state. In addition, Ben has been a vocal advocate for computer science education in Kansas, speaking in front of the Kansas Board of Education to advocate for computer science to count as a graduation requirement.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems and Human Resources, an MBA from Kansas State University, and an Executive Certificate from MIT. He is dedicated to and passionate about furthering the technology community in Kansas.
