A “boomeranger,” Suzy returned to Wichita in 2009 after spending 4 years in Milwaukee and 4 years in Washington, D.C. Since returning, she has worked in roles or for organizations focused on attracting and retaining talent to the region – whether helping young professionals find their community, engineering students find an internship, or K-12 students discover their futures.
Specifically, she has experience leading marketing and strategic partnerships for Wichita Public Schools, managing and marketing community programs for the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce and Young Professionals of Wichita (now W/ Young Pros), supporting work-based learning for Wichita State University’s engineering students, advertising appliances for her family’s store (Lytton’s Appliance), and designing best practices books and presentations for Corporate Executive Board (now a Gartner Company).
Active in the community, Suzy also has experience serving on boards of directors for Music Theatre Wichita, the Wichita Art Museum, Arts Partners Wichita, and Mark Arts (you might be noticing a trend), as well as the Kansas School PR Association, YMCA Community Development Branch advisory board, Advance Kansas advisory board, and the WSU Barton School’s Dean’s Alumni Advisory Board. She is known for contributing to marketing, governance and nominating committees, helping organizations diversify their board representation and increase awareness.
Suzy has a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Studio Art from Marquette University and a Master of Business Administration from Wichita State University with an unofficial concentration in entrepreneurship.
